Technically speaking, the effect you see when you mouseover that image is a completely unique color progression, chosen just for you by the universe. The starting and ending colors are randomized. Of course, in one sense it's completely unique each time, but in another it's exactly the same goddamn flashing bullshit every time.

ETA: Actually, that description was imprecise: the original color is randomized and its red, blue, and green factors are randomly assigned +5 or -5 increments, and then ten times a second the rgb values are incremented/decremented, wrapping when they hit 0 or 256. I should probably also randomize the size of the step and see what that does.

I have super-sleuthed my way to the conclusion that Rabid deleted all their shit because Wirthling didnt answer some queries about forii colours satisfactorily.

I really think we should post at Kateland and be patient. I appreciate that a few people signed up and started participating here, thank you, people. But some day we will get Kateland looking better. I think it would be great if a lot of people posted at both places but for now, this forum is just adding to uncertainty. If Kateland dies, I will reconsider.

ETA: I'm going to leave this forum open. If people want to continue posting even though only three people visit this forum a day, OK.
